Get to Know Level

Launched in 2021 by B Lab U.S. & Canada, the Level Program was created to reduce barriers to B Corp Certification for businesses led by women from historically marginalized backgrounds. Level leaders run companies that benefit people and the planet and bring new perspectives and ideas to the B Corp community.

Through Level, B Lab U.S. & Canada seeks to level the playing field for historically excluded business owners while also informing broader efforts to make the B Corp movement more inclusive. Since its launch in 2021, the program has graduated 44 entrepreneurs representing businesses across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. This report covers program outcomes from 2021 to 2024.

Transformational Impact
It is true that businesses owned by People of Color and women are underfunded and under-resourced. It is also true that the Certified B Corporation community isn’t as diverse as it needs to be. B Corps and partners must include everyone’s needs and perspectives in a collaborative movement to achieve a more equitable and inclusive economy.
